On Saturday, March 3, 2018, Army and Navy Academy hosted Soaring High With ANA: The 3rd Annual Distinguished Warrior Awards Dinner and Auction at Duffield Sports Center. The event was established as a tribute to honor alumni, parents, and community supporters who have continually gone above and beyond for the Academy. The evening is a recognition and celebration of these Distinguished Warriors, as well as the Academy’s largest annual fundraising event. All proceeds raised during the evening provide the Academy with the funds needed to enhance programs in Academics, Athletics, and Cadet Life, as well as continue ongoing campus renovations.

This year, guests were treated to a Top Gun-themed event featuring entertainment by The Killer Dueling Pianos and dinner by The French Gourmet as they bid on a wide selection of silent auction items. Auctioneer Clint Bell was a hit during the live auction and fund-a-need portion of the evening, sparking laughter and bidding wars that kept guests glued to their seats and their paddles in the air.

With the support of parents, alumni, board members, faculty, staff, and community supporters, the Academy raised $165,000 to support Cadet programming and campus initiatives such as the launch of the Warrior Aviation Program, which will add a UC-approved course as part of a four-year aviation training program in the 2018-2019 school year and will be offered in addition to the existing extra-curricular Warrior Aviation Club. The proceeds will also support the purchase of Promethean Boards for all classrooms, which will replace outdated Smartboards and create engaging and transformative learning experiences for Cadets. Thank you to all our sponsors, auction donors, and guests whose support and generosity helped to make the evening a great success!
