We had five wrestlers advance to the San Diego Masters tournament – the highest number of wrestlers who’ve advanced to this tournament in ANA history. All won matches and all placed in the mix in a very tough tournament. Combined with how well our Cadets performed at the CIF Tournament, ANA Wrestling has had its most successful wrestling season in the school’s history.
We’re making a strong impression throughout Southern California. During the course of the tournament, many coaches from other schools have commented on how tough Army/Navy wrestling has become.
Our coaching staff is extraordinarily proud of the wrestlers who competed at the Masters Tournament, and the effort and sacrifice that they demonstrated. In addition, they are also proud of every one of our wrestlers who completed the season. They hope that the challenges of wrestling competition will help them to prepare for the challenges of competition in life.
With 12 returning varsity wrestlers, we predict that ANA Wrestling will be very competitive again next year. We look forward to assisting our wrestlers to become even better.
