The first Cross Country League Cluster was yesterday, October 16 – a meet where all 9 teams in the Pacific League were racing. The meet took place at Jesmond Dene Park in Escondido, with over 100 male runners and about 60 female runners, and was hosted by Calvin Christian High School.

Army and Navy Academy fared very well, with a total of 17 runners competing. The team was led by Senior Cadet Aren Johnson, who again showed his dominance in the 5K race. He took first place with a time of 17:18.0, far ahead of his closest rival from the Rock Academy by over 36 seconds.

Other top Warrior finishers were sophomores Wyatt Duggan, who finished 32nd with a time of 21:55.0, Eric Moraly, who had a finishing time of 22:29.0, and Harrison Zhang who finished 48th with a time of 22:56.0.

Next up, the team will run in The Running Center’s Southern California Invitational at Guajome Park in Oceanside on Saturday, 18 October 2014. The race starts at 9:00, and we hope to see some Warrior Fans there to cheer on the team.
