The Warriors played against the Borrego Springs Rams yesterday in a non-conference game. The Warriors had beaten the Rams in the second game of the season, and the Rams had revenge on their minds.

The game was a pitching jewel with their ace going against us. We started Blake Howard who but for three fielding miscues by the Warriors, would have held the Borrego Springs team to zero runs. The Rams started early with 3 runs and they held on to a 3-0 lead through the first 6 innings of the game.

The Warriors mounted a valiant comeback in the 7thinning, which fell one run short. Gus Medina provided the power that brought in one run followed by a sacrifice fly by Nick Marino which brought in the second run. The final score was 3-2, Borrego Springs.

The Warriors next play at home today against Lake Quinault, before going on spring break. The Warrior’s season record is now 5-6.
