Cadets Sebastian Rawson and Zahour Khan have been selected to attend the sixth annual LEAD (Leadership, Ethics, Aspirations, and Determination) Conference, hosted by Rotary International’s District 5340. The conference will be held on October 24 and 25, 2015.
LEAD is a leadership and development program for 8th grade students. Participants are selected based upon their exhibited leadership ability, potential for future leadership, and overall good citizenship.
Throughout the conference, students are taught essential skills to succeed both in school and in life, like the importance of leading by example, setting goals, managing time, and being active in their communities. These lessons are imparted through interactive workshops and sessions, both in the classroom and outdoors.
Special thanks to the Rotary Club of Carlsbad for sponsoring Cadets Rawson and Khan to participate in the 2015 LEAD Conference.
