The Warriors played the Mt. Empire Redhawks at home on Thursday, March 19 in a rematch of Monday’s game. Seeking revenge for a 10-9 loss at the hands of the Warriors, the Redhawks combined good pitching with timely hitting to win 4-2.

The score for most of the game was 2-3 in favor of the Redhawks. They picked up an insurance run in the 7th inning to go ahead 2-4. The Warriors had opportunities but could not cash in after the lead-off men in two of the innings hit lead-off doubles.

The loss ended the Warriors 5 game win streak and they are now 5-2 for the year.  Freshman Garrett Smith pitched the entire game and did an excellent job in holding the power hitting Redhawks to only 4 runs.

The Warriors next play at San Diego Jewish Academy on Tuesday, March 24. This will begin a week of 3 consecutive games in which they play the Jewish Academy, Foothills Christian, and Orange Glen. All three games will be played away.
