Army and Navy Academy invites you to enjoy an evening of traditional Highland music as The California Summer School of Piping performs their 44th annual concert in the Duffield Sports Center on Thursday, June 25, 2015.
The concert will begin at 7:00pm and is open to the public at no charge for admission. 53 pipers and drummers will perform, including 6 top-level instructors.
The Head of School, Major Bruce Hitchings, MBE will be performing with the group. Throughout his career, Bruce has played at many prestigious events, including concerts for the British Royalty and countless foreign dignitaries. He remains in demand as a piper, teaching and running schools and workshops in the U.S., Germany, Austria and France on a regular basis.
Formerly a piper in the British Army, Hitchings is now a Board Member of the College of Piping and as a member of the Piping Committee for the Northern Meeting Piping Competition.
