Warrior Football Record 8-0

Sophomore QB Chris Salisbury was 6 of 7 for 249 yards and 4 TD’s in Friday’s 63-7 win over The Rock Academy, extending Army Navy’s unbeaten record to 8-0. Chris is currently the #10 ranked QB in the San Diego Section, having passed for 1102 yards with just 2 interceptions and 11 TD’s.
Sam Harlib caught 3 of Chris’s TD passes on Thurs; 1 for 18, 1 for 23 and another for 93 yards–Sam is now the #2 ranked receiver in San Diego with 17 catches for a whopping 641yds and 8 TD’s, averaging 37.71 yards per catch.  Sam is also #2 in the county in interceptions with 6 for the season.  There are no other players in the county of San Diego with the distinction of ranking so high in receptions and interceptions. Cadet Harlib is having a tremendous year. Senior RB Mike Luque carried the ball 13 times and rushed for 153yds and two TD’s.  Army Navy’s Offense is now ranked #4 in the county overall in scoring with an avg of 36.8 points per game.  The defense is ranked #5 in the county in points allowed to our opponents.
The defense was outstanding against The Rock, led by two interceptions by cadet Timothy Mack. Mack returned his first interception 93 yds for a TD early in the 1st Qtr.  The second was very timely as well, due to the fact that The Rock Academy was sucessfully driving down the field when Mack made his interceptions.  Both interceptions were “drive killers” and gave the ball back to our offense so that we could score. Joey Naotaola, Korey Warren, Donovan Canaday and Erik Immiti helped pressure the Rock’s offense all night long.
Our next opponent is San Diego Jewish Academy this coming Thursday (Oct 25th), at SDJA. The game time is 3pm.  Thanks to all of the families who continue to come and support our Warriors no matter how far away the game might be. A victory against SDJA would set up a rematch of the Pacific League championship game between Army Navy Academy and Tri City Christian on Nov 2nd.
