Zachary Schrader '16 Places 6th in California State Wrestling ChampionshipCalifornia began holding high school state championships for wrestling in 1973, allowing only the top 2% of California wrestlers to participate. No Army and Navy Academy wrestler qualified for the tournament until this year, when Zach Schrader ’16 earned a place after his excellent performance at the San Diego Masters Tournament.

Zach achieved a 5-1 record in the first day of competition, placing him in the top 8 California high school wrestlers in his weight class. This allowed him to move on to the final day of competition, where he took 6th overall.

The ANA coaches are extremely proud of Zach and his success, not only in this tournament, but also throughout the season. His hard work and dedication are impressive, and have truly paid off.

Congratulations to Zach on this amazing accomplishment. Warrior Proud! Warrior Strong!
