Our Current Endowment Funds
Through the generosity of many members of our school community, the following endowment funds have been established:
Anthony H. Clayton Band Scholarship Fund
This fund was established in 1998 by a gift from Dolores and Fred Clayton, with the additional support of friends and family, in memory of Cadet Captain Anthony Clayton ’85. The Clayton Scholarship is awarded to a returning cadet who has made significant contributions to the band program and exhibits a strong sense of spirit in service and cooperation with the director. With respect to awarding the Clayton Scholarship, the Financial Aid Committee selects the recipient. The recipient then writes a letter about himself and his involvement at ANA and expresses his thanks to the Clayton family.
Col. Gilbert N. Brookhardt Scholarship
This fund was established in 1982 by gifts from family, alumni and friends in memory of Pete Brookhardt, a member of the faculty from 1959 to 1982. Col. Brookhardt served as the Dean of Academics and was President of the Academy from 1980 until his death in 1982. The Brookhardt Scholarship is awarded to a returning cadet who demonstrates unusual academic promise through his substantial academic improvement during the previous year.
