Alumni Campaign for Funding Excellence
Army and Navy is proud of the thousands of gifts alumni have contributed to their alma mater over the years. Alumni are among the Academy’s strongest and most consistent supporters. And the percentage of participation amongst alumni is growing each year. We have made efforts in recent years to reconnect with many formerly “lost” alumni as we approached our Centennial Year. Today, more than 3,500 alumni receive regular communication from the Academy and have proudly reconnected with their alma mater.
We continue to invest financial and staff resources to reach out and engage with alumni across our region. With the launching of regional Warrior Clubs, we’ve created opportunities for alumni—as well as current and former parents, grandparents, friends and others—to gather together. We want these audiences to hear firsthand of the progress being made on the Carlsbad campus and to reminisce about the “good ol’ days.” Warrior Club gatherings take place in a number of regions, including Los Angeles, Inland Empire (Riverside County), San Francisco, Oakland/East Bay, Sacramento, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Tucson. The Office of Alumni Affairs is committed to working with alumni in these regions and others to strengthen bonds with the Army and Navy Academy.
Many alumni look back on their days at the Academy with tremendous appreciation and pride. Many credit the Academy with having helped place them squarely on the road to success and having provided them with the skills, tools, drive and leadership abilities to make their mark in the world.
As a result, hundreds of alumni have given thousands of gifts to the Academy over the years. Most gifts have come in support of the Annual Fund campaign. A number of alumni have also stepped forward to support various capital campaign projects and to establish endowment funds that benefit select programs and areas of interest at the Academy, in perpetuity.
ANA alumni continue to provide critical support to the Academy’s Annual Fund and capital giving. To learn more, please call 760.547.5276 or send us an email.
The Reunion Giving rogram is a year-long project designed to encourage increased awareness and giving among those classes planning a reunion in May. These campaigns provide an opportunity for classes to have a direct impact on Army and Navy Academy, encouraging increased class participation and gift upgrades. Often, reunion gift campaigns renew class spirit and drive record giving levels for those classes involved.
