Sondee O’Connor was born in Marion, Ohio prior to moving to California. While in Ohio, Sondee pursued music by playing drums in a Drum and Bugle Corp and all sports, excelling in softball, basketball, and volleyball. After a really cold, cold winter, her mother decided she’s had enough of snow and moved Sondee and her brother to San Diego CA., finally settling in Encinitas. This is where Sondee found her love of the ocean and especially, surfing. This was her new sport. She attended San Dieguito High School. While in college she received a Music Scholarship and was in “Who’s Who” among Junior Colleges, and found her love for theatre. She worked at a Raquetball club, where she became an excellent player as well, making racquetball her new sport. Sondee accepted a scholarship and went to Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. There she learned from some of the best musicians around. Boston was too cold and decided to move back to California and settled on going home to Encinitas, attended SDSU with a major in History and a minor in Music. This is when she got married, had her son, and lived by the beach in Carlsbad. While going to school, she worked for Carlsbad Parks and Rec in the Special Events and Sports Dept., planning all the events and Sports leagues for the City, but mostly, building the Triathlon that still runs today. Sondee moved with her son and began a new life and moved to Las Vegas. Sondee played with bands around town, even playing in LA at all the historic Rock Clubs and went to New Zealand to record a single with one of them. All the while, working full time with CCSD. When her son started UNLV, she moved back home to California.
In 2011, an old friend from High School had contacted her via his old friend and in 2013, Sondee and her husband were married on the beach in Cardiff. They now live in Vista, CA.
HAPPILY EVER AFTER!
