Jolene Mitchell is a native of Southern California.  She earned a B.S. in Biology at UCLA before receiving a credential to teach both math and biology.  Ms. Mitchell has taught at Army and Navy Academy since 2008.  She has taught all levels of math from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus BC and AP Statistics but currently teaches Advanced Math Topics, AP Calculus AB, and AP Calculus BC.  She enjoys helping her AP students obtain college credits and learn advanced Mathematical concepts. Her experience teaching AP courses led to her appointment as an AP grader for the College Board.  She  enjoys seeing her students progress through their journey at Army and Navy and on into very successful lives as alumni. This year, Ms. Mitchell is serving as the Faculty Chair.  She is also the Advisor of the California Scholarship Federation. In her free time she enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with family, and spoiling her husky.
