Peggy Combs
Major General Peggy C. Combs, United States Army (Retired) serves as the 16th President of the Army and Navy Academy, Carlsbad CA. Throughout her 33 year service tenure, she served in a variety of command and staff positions at the tactical, operational and strategic levels.
General Officer executive positions included the Deputy Commanding General, US Army Cadet Command (ROTC), Fort Knox, Kentucky; the 27th Chief of Chemical and Commandant, US Army Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear School at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri; Acting Commanding General, US Army Training Center, Fort Jackson, South Carolina. She most recently served as the Commanding General of the US Army Cadet Command, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, and culminated her career in service as the Chief of Staff, North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. Major General Combs holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Syracuse University, a Master of Science Degree from Saint Mary College, a Master of Strategic Arts Degree from the US Army War College, and in 2021 was awarded a Doctorate of Laws Honoris Causa from Syracuse University.
