Gavin Hooker

Gavin Hooker was born in La Jolla, California and grew up in Encinitas, California. Gavin began his teaching career at the Army and Navy Academy in 2009.

He earned his Bachelor’s degree from California State University San Marcos in History and he acquired his Masters in Education and teaching credential from National University.

Mr. Hooker currently teaches World History and Media Studies at the Army and Navy Academy.

He has been a faculty member since 2009. In addition to teaching, Mr. Hooker advises the Gardening Club at the Academy. Mr. Hooker is fascinated by all things Russian. His family is half Russian and half Uzbek.
