Dr. Amy Tsou
Amy Tsou was recruited to start the Mandarin Chinese program at Army and Navy Academy several years ago, and now teaches Mandarin Chinese 1, 2, 3, 4 and AP Chinese.
Amy came to the US to finish her college education which she had started in Shanghai, China (Fudan University). She graduated from Mount Holyoke College in 1985 with a BA in Chemistry then went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her interest in teaching Chinese language came after staying home with her children for several years. She attended a Chinese teacher training program sponsored by STARTALK and American Council on Teaching of Foreign Languages.
In her spare time, Amy loves to read and to travel. In 2016, she led a student group to China during Spring Break. She hopes to lead another one in the near future.
