Jocelyn Romero has been the Admission Coordinator at Army and Navy Academy since January 2019. She is proud to be part of the Warrior family, and truly believes in all the values that are taught to these young men to prepare them for their future… as our future leaders!
Jocelyn grew up as a daughter of a Navy Chief, going back and forth from California to Japan. She first studied at San Diego Miramar College and earned her Associate of Arts in Psychology. She then transferred to Pepperdine University, receiving a full-ride Alumni Scholarship to earn her Bachelor of Science in Management with an emphasis in Leadership. She is thankful for the job opportunities she had in college, which allowed her to work in different departments at Miramar College. As an Outreach Ambassador, she would schedule campus tours with prospective students and act as a peer counselor for those students during their first year of college. After graduating, she left and began a career in Escrow for two years until she realized that she wasn’t reaching her full potential in the real-estate field. She always remembered the days as an Ambassador when she enjoyed her job so much that work never really felt like work. She knew she needed a new start in something that she was passionate about – Education, which ultimately led her to pursue a career in Admissions here at the Army and Navy Academy!
Jocelyn enjoys quality time with her husband and being a tourist in their own city, always trying new restaurants and exploring the best spots in San Diego. Having most of her family all over the county, she is thankful that she has the opportunity to spend a lot of time with them throughout the year. She also enjoys extensive planning and organizing, singing, family game nights, calligraphy, graphic design, and Disneyland trips.
