Natalie was born and raised in Laguna Niguel, CA. She first moved to San Diego while earning her Business Management degree from Point Loma Nazarene University.
For the past five years, she was the Store Manager at BHLDN-Anthropologie Carlsbad. Previously, she served as the Outreach Coordinator for the Alzheimer’s Association in San Diego. Alzheimer’s disease is a cause close to Natalie’s heart because her mom was diagnosed with early on-set Alzheimer’s and Dementia in 2009. Natalie has been and continues to be a spokesperson for the incurable disease. She was awarded the 2012 Celebration of Courage and Hope Caregiver Award. She also has been seen and featured on numerous media channels including the San Diego Union-Tribune, NBC 7 San Diego, U-T TV Prime Time, TLC’s ‘Say Yes to the Dress,’ and has her own personal blog with over 34k views, ‘Living Through Alzheimer’s.’
She is also a dedicated sports fan and has played volleyball for 17 years. Natalie played setter at Santa Margarita Catholic High School for head coach Christy Chapman-Unrich. She received three varsity letters, was named to first-team All-CIF and first-team all-league, SMCHS Athlete of the year for 2009 and was named to the all-tournament team in the 2009 Junior Olympics in Miami. After high school, Natalie went on to play volleyball at Point Loma Nazarene University where she was named to NCCAA All-Region Team and left Point Loma ranked sixth in the school history with 2,221 assists. Natalie still plays beach volleyball locally and has dreams of starting a beach volleyball club here at Army and Navy.
In her free time, Natalie enjoys surfing, playing beach volleyball, camping, and seeing local shows.
